The exact symptoms are:

We start FirstSpot, he asks for the user and the password. us we are bad firstspot and password, us the following screen appears. We mess about On Start and in a few seconds he us turns out to be stopped.

It is to say we do not manage to start the firstSpot.

We have tried with the version 4 and the thread of 5, in 2 different computers and with 3 operating systems (XP, Windows 2003 and Windows 2000). In all the cases we obtain the same result.

1) So no log files in the FirstSpot\log directory?

2) make sure Driver Signing warning is set to "ignore" before installing FirstSpot. Refer to readme.rtf for details.

3) check Windows Event Viewer to see whether there is any FirstSpot related issues. (similar to http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1985 ?)

The file log has 2 income that indicate that the Firstspot has been started.

The driver Signing is ignores before installing FirstSpot.

Is the well-read one the incident 1985 and seemingly the visor of services gives them a mistake of the Computer Browser. We do not have this problem.

That operating system recommend us?.

That we must mount version of the Firststop?.

Your error is really strange. Maybe your machine is low on resource (e.g. memory, disk space)? Please also post:

1) config.ini file
2) ipconfig/all output (issued from the FirstSpot machine)

Is your Windows clean (i.e. new install without any third party software)? Can you install FirstSpot in another machine just as a test?

Post subject: A possible solution.

Hello, good afternoon in there!
We are writting this issue from Spain again, and I've find a possible solution for our current problem (it's about the browser's service).
It seems there's a missing key at the systems's registry. The correct site: HKEY_LOCAL\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\LANMANSERVER
Try to see if there's a key called Lmannounce with a value of 0. It must be changed to a "1" value, and it should work

So did you solve the problem already?

We look at your Windows Event Viewer, and find out that LanmanServer service (English Display name : Server) is missing. This is not normal since it is an important service, and it should be there unless you change something in your Windows.

We are trying to help you to fix it, but kind of slow since everything is in Spanish...

We try to start LanmanServer service by issuing:

net start LanmanServer

Looks like the service doesn't exist! Sometimes wrong with your Windows and you need to fix it.

No, sorry. I've just seen this solution from the eventid website (Id: 7003) posted by a user.
Anyway, We're waiting you to finish your work and to not interference you to apply this solution (or another one you could find). I'll be grateful if you try to apply it instead me, and see what's happening.
I'm starting to think it should be a compatibility problem. As you had seen, this is an original w2k3 R2 + SP1. Just a question: ¿does this program works correctly with this OS?
