We are using the latest version of firstpot.

1)Please help us, the captcha didnt work properly if the user fillup the fields properly. It will still register even if the captcha characters being typed were wrong.
2)If ever we want to edit the registration/signup form html.Which file? which line/s should not be modified?

Have you tried the v5.0.0 final release? Please visit http://www.patronsoft.com/firstspot/download_trial.html to download.

We re-test using v5.0.0 final release and cannot reproduce your Captcha problem.

As a test, please make sure you don't customize the php file (at least initially).

So did you customize the php file?

Also, can you describe the exact steps to reproduce your error?

Post subject: Captcha problem

Sorry, it took us days to troubleshoot which menu was causing this problem..here's the setting that captcha wont work..we downloaded the link that you gave about the final release 5.0.0 and even using beta 2 still the same problem.

A) we added few 3 plans with different bandwidth allocation per plan and another plan good for two hours only with 30kBps

B) Authentication Server menu
we modified:

1) Enforce restriction on self sign-up accounts <--checked or enabled
2) Time elapsed before the same machine can sign up again <--set to 1140
3) SSl-enabled Loginpages <--enabled
4) Self Sign Up Plan <--we used the plan for 2hours and bandwidth ug 30kBytes/sec
5) the rest features/fields are by default settings like captcha is by default enabled and the rest untouched..

We'll wait for you reply about this problem.thanks

we didnt modify any php files at the above yet.. the steps above from A to B settings, the captcha wont work..we only use your menus to tailor our needs and there we found out that captcha wont work.

Looks like there is an issue when using "CAPTCHA checking" and "Enforce restriction on self sign-up accounts" together.

Please download the below file:
http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/download/patch/501/common_functions.zip

Extract the common_functions.php file and copy to your FirstSpot\authserv directory (use 5.0.0 final release instead of beta).

This issue will be fixed in v5.0.1.
