I forgot to answer your other question....
The only real charges are the $1.00 charge for the service and 13% for the taxes. MC and VISA also have their own service charges but that's not part of the costs that show up as part of this transaction. I'll send you a screenshot of what the PayPal page looks like, tomorrow.

Just do:
1) uninstall. Make sure the FirstSpot directory is deleted
2) reboot (normally not neccessary)
3) reinstall
4) apply the local.zip
5) test again, tell us the result (post the log if you still have issues) _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Hi guys....
I did exactly like you said...removed the program and made sure the firstspot folder was gone, then re-installed and put in the very basic information (updated the plan, credit card info, shopping cart only) and purchased 15 minutes for $1.00
Didn't work and created the full txn.log file showing the same error but I tried changing the one parameter in the "unit price" . I was putting in 1.00 in the field since it was asking for a dollar amount when in fact it should have been just a 1 instead. Once I changed that it did work! I couldn't find what the parameters should be according to the book so it was a simple yet easy mistake to make especially since this is my first time working with paypal automatic transaction reports.
So now things are good and I'll update the pages and start things going.
Thanks for the updates as it really helped pinpoint the location of the error.

I see your point. This problem will also happen under certain conditions no matter the Unit price set in Shopping Cart is in the format "X", "X.0", "X.00" etc..
Please feel free to download the latest patch from the following link:
http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/download/patch/501/local.zip
The steps are the same as before. Just unzipping the file to FirstSpot\local\ folder. Both ppal_ipn.php and transaction.php will be updated. This problem will also be fixed in v5.0.1.
Thanks for your help throughout this testing progress. |

After I install this fix what will the correct parameter be? Do I enter 1.00 or $1.00 or what do you suggest? |

Just put in the amount without the '$' sign is ok. |
