Moreover, we suspect the problem relates to your database. Do you use FirstSpot's default one or build up another yourself? Can you check if the corresponding transaction record is shown under the Credit Cards tab in Configuration Manager?

Which version of FirstSpot are you using?

Do you use the default database or build up another yourself?

Please export the table ppal in Users tab and check if there's entry shown in FirstSpot\ccdata.csv.

This issue will happen when importing a .csv file which was exported from a blank database table.

Please perform the following steps to clear the table PPAL manually and test again:
1) Shut down FirstSpot
2) Copy the files ppal.dbf and ppal.mdx from the original installation zip file
3) Paste the two files in FirstSpot\datasource

From the error messages, it seems that there's problem with the ODBC connection parameter when FirstSpot inserts record into the table PPAL. However, we are unable to reproduce this error in our lab.

You may try the following ways to see if the same error occurs:
1) Reboot the machine after the database files update and perform Paypal test
2) Re-install FirstSpot and perform Paypal test without importing any .csv files

At the same time, could you also provide the following information for us to simulate your case?
1) Windows type together with SP version
2) Microsoft dBase Driver (*.dbf) version and date (can be found in Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Data Sources (ODBC)->Drivers)

We've just produced similar errors and suspect the reason for your case is similar to this one:

http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2077

So, before trying to reinstall FirstSpot, please follow the above link to update the three PHP files. Then, restart FirstSpot and perform PayPal test again.
