Post subject: Paypal completing but not updating customer

We searched through the forums here, but yet to find a real answer to this.
Everything goes throgh correctly, paypal shows on their website that a payment was recived and completed, firstspot sends us back to our store after the payment. Customer paypal shows the payment was completed.

Now the Problem is that Firstspot dosent credit the customers account.

from our txn.log

Sunday 23rd of March 2008 11:12:18 AM - Failed to Verify Transaction!
payment_date = 12:12:10 Mar 23, 2008 PDT
txn_type = web_accept
last_name = User
residence_country = US
item_name = test
payment_gross = 0.01
mc_currency = USD
business = XX1_1206297703_biz@ouremailaddress.biz
payment_type = instant
verify_sign = AiPC9BjkCyDFQXbSkoZcgqH3hpacAkRz6h34kofJomen3CwQZBSYWFzJ
payer_status = verified
test_ipn = 1
tax = 0.00
payer_email = XX2_1206297119_per@ouremailaddress.biz
txn_id = 14Y165966G508850J
quantity = 1
receiver_email = XX1_1206297703_biz@ouremailaddress.biz
first_name = Test
payer_id = CUYQ7PGFZ92B2
receiver_id = YDUFQV6N4HXKC
item_number =
payment_status = Completed
payment_fee = 0.01
mc_fee = 0.01
shipping = 0.00
mc_gross = 0.01
custom = 29|edege|Monthly
charset = windows-1252
notify_version = 2.4

i have checked everything listed in previous posts and they are all correct.

mc_gross is the same a same as the price in firsspot

i know that it says "Failed to Verify Transaction!" but it dosent give a reason why it failed.

Thanks again for the help

Please make sure you've modified "www.paypal.com" to "www.sandbox.paypal.com" in FirstSpot\local\ppal_ipn.php for testing in PayPal Sandbox.

For further information, please refer http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2058.

we did, the odd thing is, when we go live it work's

MAC: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX = Completed
Plan Updated = Completed

But it don't replace the old plan that was on the user's account,
and we Even Action when user's data transfer quota is updated to (Replace user's value by plan's value)

LikeExpire Date: 03-21-08 Time 11:00

so when they buy a new plan or update the plan it show up like this
"This is what is under the User Account info" Like:

"Exp Date: 03-21-08 Time 11:00"
"Days = 30" <=== that is what they payed for.

But it doesn't clear the Expire Date: 03-21-08 Time 11:00

and the Plans we offer are in the amount of days and there is no way to clear the old Date & time of expire, so therefor FS still think's that the account is Expire Even tho they payed for the updated time, is there a work around or a fix for this, i been trying to clear it up.

We are using Mac's For the Account handle'in
and we offen for a Month's time not by mins.

We are using FS 5.1x Adv Ver. on Windows Server 2003

According to your situation, FirstSpot will update user's expiry date at the next user's login. Have you tried to log in using that account after the purchase? If yes, what were the exact wordings of the error message?

If you would like user's expiry date to be updated immediately after the purchase, please modify the option "Account is active" in plan's settings to "When it is created".

we have Account is active: set to At the Users First Login <=== under Plan options
and under the User options we have Account is Active is set to Now..

the way we have it, is a Customer is based off a MAC address base off a router that we give them, and with Passive login.
So the way that u are saying is; so once a Customer pays for a new plan (renew there plan) they have to unplug the router for 10 mins so they can get Idle out? and then the plan will be updated?

i wish there was a way where it can just update the plan and zero out the date of expire and then have it replace it after there next login

i will keep trying out new ways to fix this. less there is a way that i don't know, might be an option that i'm just overlooking

Thank you again ^^;
