I've installed version 2.19. I got the following error message in the login page whenever I tried to login, even when I entered the correct username and password.
Notice: Undefined variable: sess_patronsoft2 in c:\program files\firstspot\authserv\login.php on line 294
Warning: com_invoke(): Invoke() failed: Type mismatch. Argument: 4 in c:\program files\firstspot\authserv\login.php on line 294
Invalid login! Please try again...
Any idea?

A few things to check:
1) you may have a personal firewall (or rules in your browser) to disallow session cookies. FirstSpot requires session cookies during the authentication process.
2) you should type a web address and let the brower redirects you to the http://locahost:5788/login_form.php; instead of accessing that URL directly.
