(ObtainPoolIP) Router NOT FOUND

Hello,

i am playing with the trial software, and am attempting to get a client to connect, but they are not getting a DHCP address. here is the output from the dhcp log. The MAC address that is shown, is the client i am testing with, so it is hitting the DHCP server, but i am not getting a resonse.

1) The IP 10.20.7.254 is being put into the Excluded IP List. What is using that IP actually?

2) Is your client locating in the same network segment as that of the FirstSpot DHCP Server?

1) 10.20.7.254 is the Interface of my Cisco WCS that is on that VLAN.
2) Yes, the client is on that network segment (vlan 27)

I suggest you try to simplify your network as much as possible. Couple of suggestions:

1) you need to make sure the physical connection is okay. You can issue "ping PrivateIP" from the client and vice versa to confirm
2) make sure there is no router between client and FirstSpot.
3) try to eliminate VLAN as well

In general, try to use the default setting as much as possible, at least initially.
