Post subject: Question

Hi,

I installed your 2.0 demo and really like the platform. I like that you have a log of the users time and usage on the 2.1, but I was also wondering if we are open to modify the "registration" or "sign-up" and add some extra fields for users to input data of their interest, age group, gender, income, etc.

I would like to have a complete profile of every single user when they sign-up.

Thanks,

xnp

That's possible. You'll have to modify three things:-

- the fsusr table to add the extra fields you want
- the signup_form.php file (under the FirstSpot\Authserv directory) to add the text fields
- the fs_signup.php (under the FirstSpot\Authserv directory) to update the fsusr table accordingly for the newly added field during account registration.

If you do not want to touch the schema of the fsusr table, you can consider writing the user details into a text file stored in the FirstSpot machine.

Please feel free to write to us ( firstspot@patronsoft.com ) if you need additional help.

For the embedded database, it's stored under the FirstSpot\datasource directory.
