Post subject: Same Problem

I am also having the same problem... I have had to reinstall the program so at the same time I upgraded to the latest release. Everything but this is working.

Post subject: same here.....

Idid a brand new install, used an upgrade code from my earlier V.4 to the new V.5 . Having had the paypal problems last month, I used the two new patch files you made, but to change. Four tests and none have returned a 'YES' yet. Also, whilst redirecting it showed a random few lines for a couple of seconds before redirecting away, something about ODBC stuff, three lines of it in red text on a black page.

I then used the method of changing the if strcmp ($result, "verified"), replace with true etc etc, only to be shown the smae screen as mentioned below.

I was hoping to get this rolled out in time for the new year hordes.....

many thanks

Andy

Have you downloaded the patch (not the workaround) in http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2361 ?

Also, check out http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2058 for how to troubleshoot PayPal problem.

I have patched and changed that line of code with no success. I have even tried changing payment processors to google checkout. Nothing seems to fix it so far.

If the end-users do not select a Plan (or there is none defined) during the purchase, he will get the above error.

So you need to add a Plan within the Shopping Cart interface in order to define items. That way the end-users can select a Plan during purchase.

Post subject: Solution

Think I figured it out. I used the patch on a previous version of the program, although there was only a few days difference I think you released an update in the interim.

I re installed with a new copy, patched it, it its fine. I think it may be the same case for the previous guy becasue he mentioned that he upgraded recently (as did I)

Many thanks

Note that v5.1.6 has already been released and it contains this PayPal fix. Please visit http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/download_trial.html to download the latest v5.

I am running 5.1.6 fresh install.
Even applied the patch to try and fix it.

Any other ideas?

A fresh install and starting from scratch on my style sheet did the trick. Thanks for your assistance.
