Post subject: DHCP & Dispatcher Crashing

I'm running 5.1.1 and the DHCP and Dispatcher services seem to crash alot. I average around 50 to 100 users at any given time and 1500 or more a day in a small airport.

I have not seen anything of interest in the Windows event log, or in the FirstSpot logs but then I'm not really sure what I'm looking for.

Please upgrade to the latest v5.1.5 as we fixed several problems with the DHCP server. Note that you can upgrade from v5.1.x to v5.1.5 without reinstall. See http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1880 for more information.

Post subject: Crashing on Startup

I have installed and uninstalled around 10 times since I purchased this program, I have installed on other computers with no luck... Installation goes well, system runs for around a day then stops. Everytime I try to start the dispatcher crashes in windows and the program is unable to start. Any help would be much appreciated so I can get this running consistantly.

What is your exact symptom? Can you post any error message (maybe in Windows Event Viewer)?

Event Log in XP

Faulting application dispatcherservice.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x999d408e.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Every time you start the service the dispatcherservices.exe crashes.

No Luck with reinstalls.
Any ideas?

So you enable Failover? Can you reinstall FirstSpot while keeping all FirstSpot setting as default?

What do you mean by "ip scheme"?

Can you post your firstspot_gw_srv_[timestamp].log file under FirstSpot\log directory?

For my network I have changed the client side ip address to 192.168.166.1 this makes my AP configuration available without manually changing ip on WLAN connection.
