| How is load balancing set up in the new V6? Is it as simple as adding a third NIC connected to another DSL line, or is another machine and associated equipment required??? |

FirstSpot Load Balancing is designed for Load Balancing/Failover between 2 FirstSpots. Refer to chapter 3 of firstspot_guide.pdf (v6) for more information.
For your case, you can use one FirstSpot with a dual WAN router. The dual WAN router can Load Balancing and Failover your 2 ISP connections. Please check out http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1588#1588 for more discussion on this topic.
