Post subject: Network Configuration

I have a wireless a/p connected to a 48 port switch along with 25 wired workstations. The switch connects to the Internet Router. Can I place the computer (FirstSpot) between the a/p and switch? I didn't want to place the computer between the switch and the router because I only want the wireless users going through FirstSpot and not the other 25 computers that are on the switch.

Yes. In that case, only the AP users will be manged by FirstSpot while the other 25 wired computers will go to the Internet directly.

Make sure you turn off DHCP server and only use LAN port (but not WAN port) within your AP. Refer to chapter 2 of firstspot_guide.pdf for details.
