DNS issue causing not routing to login page

We have having an issue that when a guest laptop first goes to say ebay.com it just times out and at a command prompt you don't get a response when you do a ping ebay.com. Bit if you used the address like 66.135.221.10, then the login page opens and after login all DNS resolving works fine to all. Also same if you manually upen the login page buy going 100.216.4:5788. I have checked the network adapter offloading is disabled. To our knowledge all settings are the same from our old box that was running v5, we are now running v6.0.2 Thanks

Your client DNS entry is incorrect.

Make sure your client TCP/IP properties is set to "Obtain DNS from server address automatically".

Client is set to DHCP, the IP and DNS enties comes from our Cisco router. This happens on 3 different Latops that work if I bring the old server back on line in limited mode.

Since you are not using FirstSpot DNS server, you need to check your DNS server. There are clearly some problems with the nslookup output.

Maybe you need to put your DNS server in the Exception Free Website IP list (depends your network setup)?
