| Is there any benifits to running a server class OS such as MS server 2003 over Windows XP pro on the Firstspot gateway server? |

First and foremost, FirstSpot can run equally well on 2000, XP and 2003.
Having said that, Windows Server OS does offer several networking improvements such as better performance in high traffic situation, better NAT support and more robust routing implementation.
