| How secure is the passive MAC login? Does the system only check the MAC, and if it is correct allows the user access? Wouldn't this leave the door open to MAC spoofing? |

Yes, FirstSpot only checks the MAC.
Keep in mind that normally for a hotspot environment, we need to strike a balance between security and convenience. Otherwise, a extra-secured hotspot with not a lot of people using it is not very useful.
