| when I replace the ca.crt and the my-server.cert files and restart firstspot the webserver service dose not restart. and all i get is page can not be displayed but the google and your site work. |

Yes, you should be able to setup 3rd party cert in the trial version. Have you checked out the instruction in firstspot_guide.pdf?
Make sure everything works well before you turn on "SSL-enabled login pages" option. What is your exact error message? Also, you might want to check out http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1086 .
