Post subject: Apache Keeps Crashing

Alan,

Apache keeps crashing. We are in the process of sending you the files you wanted. Did you want the WHOLE "logs" folder in the www/apache/... folder? Or did you just want a specific file in that folder? The reason I ask is because the Folder is 810 MB. If the folder does not compress substantially, how do you suppose we get it to you since our email will not support such a large file to be transferred?

In that case, please post your log file firstspot_gw_srv_[timestamp].log under FirstSpot\log directory instead (if it is too big, just post the first 5 pages).

Can you post the log file in the forum instead?

Okay, we received your log.

Since you are using the old v4.0.1, please upgrade to the latest v4 as we fix a problem for the 'SSL-enabled login pages' feature. Check out chapter 5 of firstspot_guide.pdf for upgrade procedure.

Our firstspot system is doing pretty good, but we still have an issue with apache crashing. Our server is set up to keep restarting apache after a crash, but it still crashes frequently. (frequently meaning from 10 seconds after service restart to 30 minutes...)
