Hello,
My company is looking into purchasing this FirstSpot captive portal software, but we have run into a problem.
What we desire is to have FirstSpot show a nice splash page such as "Welcome to So-and-So Internet Communications!" which gently explains the need to purchase Internet air-time, with a button to throw the user straight to the "Select Plan" page where he can then use PayPal to pay for it. In other words, no Login and Password and Sign Up buttons whatsoever. After the credit card transaction is successful, throw his MAC address into the list so that the user has so-and-so minutes left (based on our plans) and never has to worry about logging in to hotspot at all. Our particular application is to have the 'clock ticking' as soon as the user completes his transaction.
Is this a future feature / easily implementable by tinkering with the code myself in FirstSpot?
Thank you very much |

... and then, after the alloted time expires, the MAC address is taken off of FirstSpot so that the user can once again see that he has to select a plan again and go through the same process, or something better if it exists.
Thank you |

Well, FirstSpot login flow is bit different compared to what you describe. One of the advantage of having username/password is that you are reuse the credential.
There are customization you can do. But note that you cannot deviate from the original flow too much. You might want to check out firstspot_guide.pdf for guideline on customization. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
