Post subject: Is it possible to log on to FirstSpot through a router?

Our company is in a rural area and has been using Direcway for years with no problems. (Except for speed, weather, and the fair use policy) We are currently working with a local startup WISP who is running FirstSpot. We currently have equipment installed, and the speed is better that DW.

Our problems are:

1. We have been unable to log in to the system through our router, which must remain in the system because we have a local mailserver and a fileserver that have static IP's.

2. When we log in through a hub, If two or more people try to use the net at the same time they continuously have to log in and keep knocking each other off.

Is there a way to configure FirstSpot (or a workaround) so that the router can handle the login stuff (like PPoE)?

Is it possible to bypass the login stuff for a particular MAC ID?

I need to keep my local IP addresses and let the ISP negotiate with the router only. Like the DW Modem does.

We actually bought a 150ft tower and access point/repeater to bring wireless to ourselves as well as the surrounding community most of whom still use dialup. This is the last bug in getting our company on the wireless network, so any help is greatly appreciated.

1) You don't need to login your router. You can take advantage of our client pass-through feature. Refer to the manual firstspot_guide.pdf for details.

2) To share a login credential, you need to use "Shared "Secret" under Anonymous Option. Note that FirstSpot normal username/password is designed so that it only allows one connection.
