Post subject: how to connect linux clients?

hi there,
we got our spot set up and going well. a whole harbour is on with us. everything works fine, exept the freezes every 5-6 hours. a reset is doing well then. but the important part is that no linux client can log on. the start page doesnt apear on this clients computers and this pisses a lot of people off. also there is no way of getting to the login page or the admin page from any linux computer.
linux is very popular here and we lose a fair part of business like that.
any ideas?
thanks,

FirstSpot should be compatible with Linux client. Please make sure:

1) the client obtains the IP, DNS and default gateway correctly. Try the command "ifconfig". You might also want to restart the network card by issuing "if down" and then "if up".

2) the client attached to the AP correctly. Sometimes Linux wireless setup (e.g. WEP) can be tricky. The easiest test is to ping the FirstSpot server.

3) you are using Firefox as the browser
