Post subject: Private NIC default Gateway

Hello... We are testing the FirstSpot software...

Within the FirstSpot Config Manager.. the IP address & Subnet mask are set. When the FirstSpot service starts.. these settings appear to override the default Windows settings.

Before I start the service.. I have a default gateway on the Private NIC. However, after I start the service.. the default gateway is then removed.

Any way to fix this?

This is by design. Normally, you shouldn't need to change the FirstSpot Private Network Interface IP settings at all.

If you really need to change the IP settings, you can use the "post-startup batch file" feature in FirstSpot. Just create a batch file which set the IP you want (using netsh command) and specify that batch file path in the Configuration Manager.

Refer to chapter 3 of firstspot_guide.pdf for more information on this feature.
