access points crashing

Hi, im using some buffalo access points in the wlan with dd-wrt firmware with around 30 clients, the base station has 2 of these a.p. and they crash sometime, we have to reboot them usually, we are thinking changing these aps but now it´s what we have.

Im sure that all of my clients are using p2p software like emule and bittorrent, i´d like to know a good configuration to avoid or filter these kind of packets with qos or other way, and how to use ethereal to check out for virus or malware in clients pcs.

Glad that this is not a FirstSpot problem :-)

You might want to try to disable uPnP support in AP. We encounter some stability issues with some APs.

As a side note, you might want to take advantage of our FirstSpot feature "maximum time limit per session". This will force the clients to relogin once a while, which can tackle situation where the client starts and leaves the P2P software on all the time (unattended).
