Email incoming without logging in

I have realised that incoming email can be received without having to logging. Have I left a port open? Is it the port 110? How do I close this?

This is not normal.

Are you sure you didn't define some Exception Free Websites (which will allow the client PC to get email without login)?

You are right, I had not realised that by putting my personal website in the exception site that the pop would passthrough too and deliver my email to my mail client.
