I'd like to know how many clients can be supported concurrently by First Spot Sw installed on a modern PC (Pentium IV with 1 GB of RAM) without experimenting poor performances.

It is always difficult to size the machine since it depends on many factors.
I suggest you to start with a small number (say 50) and then increase the load gradually to see the impact on the performance.
