Post subject: upgrade mysql

Hi.
I've upgraded FS 4.0.13 to v5 beta1. But when I try to login the infobox gives some errors that I presume are due to new fields in mySQL database.
Are there any scripts available to make the upgrade to the database or does this have to be made "by hand"?

thanks

ok, I've made the modifications by hand. It were only 5 records on table fsusr. Now the login process runs without problems.

well, maybe not... As I'm using the firstspot web admin I see some more errors. If the scripts are available it will be nice. Meanwhile I'm making adjustments on mySQL by hand...

1) You need to make sure you are using the MySQL and ODBC version described in v5 readme.rtf.

2) Also, use the create table statement in chapter 8 of v5 firstspot_guide.pdf to recreate the tables in MySQL first before using FirstSpot.

The create table statement will only create blank table.

You need to:
1) export the user table information within Users category of Configuration Manager (v4)
2) install v5
3) run create table statement
4) import the information back in Configuration Manage (v5)

Refer to chapter 5 of firstspot_guide.pdf for more information about migration.
