Post subject: Trying to change the Public NIC Interface unsuccessfully

Hi,

My Public NIC integrated on the motherboard just failed so I replace it with a new PCi Network card and replaced the nam in the config.ini file as follows

; network interface card connected to Internet (after modify this, need to restart FirstSpot)
;
publicNIC=Local Area Connection 2

BUT I GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR WHEN STARTING FIRSTSPOT

Fri Jun 15 20:31:21 2007 ***** All the error messages of session started at Fri Jun 15 20:31:21 2007 are shown below *****
Fri Jun 15 20:31:37 2007 verify NIC : Public Network Interface Card should not bind the PatronSoft FirstHop Driver.

How do I go about it now? Thnaks for a quick reply because customers are waiting.

Try to "uncheck" the FirstHop driver that is binded to your Public Network Interface, and then restart Windows.

Refer to firstspot_guide.pdf for more information about changing network card after FirstSpot is installed.
