Post subject: No login page in Multiple Network Segments

We're using an XP professional sp 2 server with 2 lan interfaces and the evaluation copy of FirstSpot.
One of these interfaces is connected to Intenet.
If we connect the client directly to the server, we receive the login page and all function correctly but if we try to connect a client in a different IP segment, the login page not appear.
The routing is Ok because it's possible to do a ping from the client to the server and the url names are correctly resolved from the DNS and the client receive the IP address in DHCP from FirstSpot. We have followed all the indications about the file readme and we have tried to reinstall windows, but we are not able to resolve this problem .

Thanx for your help.

Yes, I have disabled hardware checksums and all protocol different from TCP/IP, and I have verified the remote routing service setting. If I try to connect directly with http://10.20.7.1:5786 I get the login page but after the authentication I can't surf and it's displayed an apache forbidden message.

The port should be 5788. See http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1088 for more information.

I try to describe better my situation.
1- I have installed FirstSpot on my Xp server
2- The public NIC is connected to internet by a router performing NAT.
3- The private NIC is connected directly to a PC
In this scenario I get the Ip address in DHCP from FS and when I open IE I am redirect to the login page and after the login I can surf on Internet.

Secon step.
I have connected to the private NIC of the server a Fortinet FG60 and I have linked my PC directly on this device.
1- I have configured FS for Centralized Network Topology and setted Ip method instead MAC.
2- I'm using the Fortinet in Routing mode only no firewall.
In this scenario I get the Ip address from FS, I can ping the server and I am able to resolve the logic internet name in Ip address, but when I open IE or Firefox I am not redirect to the login page.
Thank you for help and patience.

Okay, that is much clearer now.

Please post your:
1) ipconfig/all for the client
2) ipconfig/all for the FirstSpot machine
3) config.ini file.
