After looking over this product, I am quite impressed with its features. I do have one function that I want to incorporate.
This hotspot would be installed in a coffee house. I would like to setup a 10 key type device tied to the computer. When the employee pushes the 1 key (for example), my script will see the keystroke. It will generate a random username/password and print it on an attached label printer. I then need to insert that username/password into firstspot with a 1 hour time limit. The user can then login with that login/pass. Once the interval expires, the account and the access will end.
I plan on writing the username/password script and all that stuff, since there will be no monitor/key/mouse tied to the system. Is there an easy way of adding the username/pass to Firstspot?
I don't really care for any of the payment systems or user administration. In this environment, these functions will never be used.
Thanks,
Dave |

It is quite straightforward to generate user via script. In fact, we document the user table fields in details in chapter 5 of firstspot_guide.pdf. All you need is to write SQL script in insert row to the ODBC table fsusr. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
