Post subject: Exception Free Websites BUG

Hi,

I think there is a bug on your free sites filtering module.
a user can browse www.nba.com or www.wnba.com even when not logged-in

I made a traceroute to these host and found they are hosted in akamai.net

I temporarily fixed the problem by commenting toolbar.msn.com which was also hosted by akamai.net in allowedhostKeywords.txt file

I don't why the the site free when nba.com is not on the list.

Regards

Maybe the 2 domains share the same IP? We just check, toolbar.msn.com and www.nba.com/www.wnba.com do not share the same IP (at least when initiate from our side). But the akamai.net cache is dynamic and so it might be different from your side.

Anyway, commenting out toolbar.msn.com will solve your problem. The downside is that client PC with MSN toolbar installed may sometimes see garbled web site right after logging in to FirstSpot.

Well, it is actually a bit complex.

The Exception Free Websites domain name will remember the actual IP once there is a client accessing that domain. So potentially there will be problem when 2 domains sharing the same IP.

I think this should be addressed in your update version.

what if mail.google.com have the same IP as google.com? since google.com is a free site, clients can access mail.google.com freely. this will be a problem
