user can log back in

hello, this had's been going on for over a month now,

i don't understand why it's doing it as well,

ok we have users as MAC:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx and Passive Login,

ok if the user use's the internet for an X amount of time, then the user quits using the internet for an X amount of time, it logs them out of FS,

but here is the catch, now the user try's to get back on the internet (with FS) it won't let them do anything, and they get an IP and all, but it don't show them logged in, now if i goto the "users" tab, and highlight the account then hit edit, (But not editing anything at all) and just hit "Save" the user's account start's to work once again, i have too keep doing this like 20 to 30 times a day, any idea why this is doing this and is there a fix for it thank u.

we are Running windows 2k3 and we are useing FirstSport 5.x

We cannot reproduce your problem.

Have you changed the default dbf datasource?

no i didn't it's still OEM, it take's like 3 to 5 dayz. i don't know why. i was looking at the setting and it's all good. this is something new as well, if the user logins in to FS it works but it's set up with mac and Passive Login. that's when it happens.

i even tryed a clean install of the OS and FS and just backed up data (user BD) files, and it still happeds. lol it's hair pulling huh lol

Please:
1) restart FirstSpot
2) reproduce the problem (try to be as simple as possible). Record the client MAC address
3) post your current firstspot_gw_srv_[timestamp].log under FirstSpot\log directory

It looks like there are some issues between Passive Login and "Conditions to suspend this account : At a specific date and time". We will fix this in the next v5.0.1. As a temporary workaround, you might want to use other attributes like airtime credit (i.e. timeleft).

BTW, currently Passive Login won't work with the "Conditions to suspend this account : After x minutes/hours/days" attribute.
