We have a multiple network segment implementation of FirstSpot that works fine when computers or non Cisco APs are hung off it but seems to have a problem as soon as we add a Cisco WLC and Wireless Mesh.
FirstSpot is setup as the DHCP server and the WLC correctly relays the requests so that clients can get IP addresses. But there is no login page. The clients can ping the WLC but they cannot ping the firstspot server. Traces go nowhere. Are there any known issues with Cisco WLCs?
Here is an explanation of how the network looks in both cases.
AP->Layer 3 Switch->FirstSpot Server (without WLC)
