|
|
Hi Alan,
I am using a licensed Version 5.1 standard. I have the Idle Timeout set to 10 minutes; however, this does not seem to be working. I know there is no traffic from users because they are completely disconnected from my wifi system but Firstspot never logs them out. This is happening on users who connect via the wifi and then disconnect from the wifi without first logging off from Firstspot.
Any suggestions on remedying this?
Thanks for your assistance. |

Did you set "Restricted account" user attribute for your FirstSpot users? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

No, I haven't done that. Is that something that needs to be done? |

Alan, I tried setting the Restricted Account attribute and tested it.....Firstspot still does not logoff an idle user.
Any other suggestions? |

There is a problem for idle timeout when user attribute "Restricted Account" limit is reached. This problem appears in v5.1.5 and will be fixed in the upcoming v5.1.6 update. Since you are not using "Restriction Account", your problem is different.
As for your idle timeout problem, please make sure the client is disconnected completely (instead of just in sleep/standby mode).
If you still have problem, try to reproduce it. Before restarting FirstSpot, post your config.ini and firstspot_gw_srv_[timestamp].log file under FirstSpot\log directory. Also, tell me the client MAC and username that is having problem. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
