Do you have the ability to control the usage of a client? ie; if they are streaming video for hours and hours, can FirstSpot automatically reduce their bandwidth to discourage using too much of the system?
Also, can firstspot control the number of e-mails, or the SMTP traffic? I don't like people using my WiFi systems to send spam!!
Thank you. |

1) Yes, you can use Bandwidth Throttling which basically set the maximum usage of individual user. Alternatively, you can use our Restricted Account user attribute. FirstSpot will slow down a user if his Access Minutes or Quota has been used up . Refer to chapter 3 of firstspot_guide.pdf for details.
2) For email, you enable our SMTP Roaming feature and use the "Maximum Recipients Per Mail" parameter to restrict email sending. Please check out chapter 3 of firstspot_guide.pdf for more information. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
