Can we create multiple database for authentication in different locations. For example Group A is using a different database to authenticate with a different login page than Group B. |

FirstSpot supports multiple network segment in the Advanced Edition; where you can have different login pages for different locations (i.e. network segments). In this case you simply need a single user database.
If you want to make user account created in one location NOT usable in other locations, you can change the corresponding login page for each
location to grant access to only certain username types.
For example, each location will have their unique prefix for their user
accounts (e.g. H1 for a hotel location, C1 for a cafe location).
Then, on the each login page, you can write some javascript (triggered after clicking on the login button) to stop submitting the login information if the username prefix does not match the allowed one. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Thanks for the reply. I have made javascript and it works well. The only problem is that user can still login to Location H1 if user is using the H1 Login page in Location C1. How to block C1 login page from Location H1. |

Are you concering customers will bookmark the login page of the first location and re-use that when they are in other locations?
If they access any particular login page directly, instead of being redirected to that, the login will be failed by FirstSpot. Unless they fire up the old login page after being redirected to the legitimate one - which is possible but would be rare I guess?
We will take that into consideration for future versions to come. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
