hi i have used first spot for many versions now and will upgrage to 8 in the near future but i have one ongoing issue that has caused us a problem and we cannot find the solution it would be great if anyone has any thoughts
we only get a maximum of 1 in 15 people who enter a username and password actualy completeing the process i.e paying we have emailed a lot of these people and most say it was because they lost conection at the paypal stage and could not say loged on long enough to pay we have tried it from all over the net work and cant find a problem |

Can you double-check the stability of your DNS using the nslookup? Try to issue nslookup in both client and FirstSpot machine.

hi Alan
we have done that and it seems stable but we are continuing to check
we use an external wan load balancer as we cant get enough band with otherwise we have one fixed ip for the incoming mesages from paypal i wonder if we should bind the firstspot ports to this conection so all requests only go via this conecction any thoughts please if so what port range would you sugesst thanks |

| sorry one more thing i notice when i try to post pessages to you from the firstspot server that frequently i have to submit two or there times as my session is not valid could this be the same problem |

No, this is due to sometimes our forum database is not very responsive.
Again, we need some hard data on nslookup. Please post your nslookup output here.

It is obvious that your DNS is not stable.
Please switch to Google DNS 8.8.8.8 ONLY for your Internet Network Interface, and then restart FirstSpot.
