Multiple users with same logon

I have a customer who wants to permit a small number of logon accounts with multiple users using each logon e.g. conference guests all logon under the same logon name and password, hotel guests use a different single logon and password and members of the public use a third different logon and password.

i.e.

Conference Users use> confuser / confpass
Hotel Guests use > hoteluser / hotelpass
Public use > publicuser / public pass

Can this be setup in the standard or advanced version?

The current v3 does not support this. Each username/password can only log on once from 1 PC at any one time.

There are several workarounds:

1) use shared secret in anonymous mode

2) you can create username using bulk account creation tools like:

guest001
guest002
guest003...

with the same password.

Then you need to customize login_form.php so that the php will automatically fill in the username for the user based on, say the last number in the IP address (which is unique in the same class C subnet). Check out "Login Page Customization" section in chapter 5 of firstspot_guide.pdf for details.
