Public Network interface IP

I Just installed the trial version of FirstSpot and I'm experience some problems.
My system configuration is as follows:
-Windows XP
-Physical network addapter connected to cable modem via LAN router (Check Point).
-Virtual network addapter - Microsoft Loopback
-Laptop also connected to the LAN router

FirstSpot configuration manager started properly.
In The "Dispatcher" tab the Private network interface IP is set to the local area connection IP,
and the Public network interface IP has a remainder: FirstSpot will automatically take the value set under windows networking....

What is wrong with the Public network interface IP?

Why can't I launch the first login page in my laptop?

First, the "remainder" is not an error.

You shouldn't need the Loopback adapter at all. Instead, reinstall FirstSpot in a PC with 2 physical network cards. The setup should look like:

Laptop (connect via crossover cable) -> FirstSpot -> Router -> Cable Modem

Make sure you:
1) select the card that connects to the Router as Public Network Interface during setup
2) select the card that connects to the Laptop via crossover cable as Private Network Interface

What should I do in this case?
I have a pc with only one network card connected to a router.
Can I test FirstSpot in this conf?

You need to select Loopback as the Public Network Interface during setup. In other words, you cannot test the actual Internet connection. You can only use the firstspotdemo page to test FirstSpot.
