No. For FirstSpot to work, the client PC needs to be configured to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and no proxy server.

Post subject: what my customers ask to me....

Hi there!

I've been using Firtspot v 3.0 for a year..... it works fine and my customers are happy, but they always ask me for the same: why do I have to change my ethernet settings before connecting? they say that sometimes dont remember the previous configuration and have problems to connect on their offices. They also say that when connecting at the airport and railroad station they don't need to change their configuration....

Will be possible in v. 4.0 to get connected in First Spot without changing Static IP and DNS Server ?

Thanks!

Sorry, we don't have plan to support fixed (static) IP at this moment.
