|
|
Hi,
I am trying to send out emails from the FS Server using our mail.myserver.net.au mail servre. Though i get an error as such...
Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 451 See http://pobox.com/~djb/docs/smtplf.html. in c:\program files\firstspot\authserv\upgrade\sendmailp.php on line 238
Any ideas what could be causing that? _________________ Ozcasemodz.com - Your All Australian Case Modding Site |

It looks like it is problem in your SMTP server. The description of the problem is described in http://cr.yp.to/docs/smtplf.html .
Actually, there are many reasons that a SMTP server fails, such as:
1) if you send from the client PC, make sure you login using FirstSpot's web-based authentication (i.e. captive portal) first.
2) many ISP blocks port 25 to prevent spams
3) the infamous TCP DNS problem. See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;263237 for details. Note the FirstSpot DNS server supports TCP DNS queries. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
