Hello Guys,

Need help too.

I've downloaded and installed the firstspot312_trial version on a XP SP2.

My simple network topology:
Internet--Router--Firstspot--Switch--AP--Client

During all testing sessions, I encounter errors.

With the default internet connection is used, when I try to log on to a non exception free website it displays nothing.

But if i use a proxy server for the LAN (10.20.7.1:5788) it is successfully redirected to the Firstspot login page.

Now when I login using the sample or any user, this error message is prompted on the page:

Notice: Undefined variable: sess_patronsoft2 in c:\program
files\firstspot\authserv\login.php on line 294

Warning: com_invoke(): Invoke() failed: Type mismatch. Argument: 4
in c:\program files\firstspot\authserv\login.php on line 294
Invalid login! Please try again...

How do I go about?

Thanks!!

Please try not to reply to an existing thread with a new question, unless you're very sure they are related. Thanks for your cooperation.

First, you shouldn't directly access http://10.20.7.1:5788 . The FirstSpot login page will appear automatically if you access a valid web site (e.g. yahoo.com)

1) Your problem seem to be related to offloading issue. Please check out readme.rtf for details.

2) Also, make sure the Windows Firewall (also known as ICF in the past) is disabled in your Windows XP.
