Post subject: System configuration

My wi-fi system has:
DSL and DSL modem
Dlink wireless router and builtin access point
Several DLink Access Points(3) fed from router switch, all different models; all access points are on different channels but one SSID
Penium IV computer with XP home edition, one ethernet port, and USB ports
An existing commercial credit card billing account

I assume Firstspot compatible with above and no more hardware is required.

Will Firstspot accomodate credit card billing for Wi_Fi client access via the existint account

You will need 2 ethernet cards on your PC running FirstSpot.

For the DSL router, you may want to turn off its radio (i.e. WiFi) function.

The topology will look like this:

AP - -
AP - - - Switch - - FirstSpot -- DSL router -- DSL modem -- Internet
AP - -

FirstSpot currently supports PayPal and WorldPay as payment gateways. If you have an existing Internet merchant account with a bank; you can try talking to WorldPay because we were told that they support such backend integration with an existing merchant account.

Please refer to this page for some hints:
