Post subject: MAC Passthrough

I have noticed that a customer has to log in to FirstSpot in order to use any Internet service, so that if they want to check e-mail with Outlook, they would have to open a browser first, which seems somewhat inconvenient. I know I can get around this using MAC passthrough, at the expense of per-user throttling. Is there another option?

Assuming there is no other way, I will want to add customers to the MAC passthrough list programatically. Where is the list stored? Is there a way to avoid restarting the FirstSpot service to make changes take effect?

You cannot do that in the current v3.

We are planning something similar for the upcoming v4. See http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2660#2660 for details.
