2 access points

Hi,

I want to use a second access point in my Firstspot trial setup, as I need the extra coverage. Is it simply a question of connecting the second AP to the Firstspot server ? Or must the 2 AP's be configured to co-operate with each other ?

You don't need to configure the AP to cooperate. Just make sure the channel is not overlapped. Also, make sure the WAN port is not used and DHCP server within your AP is turned off.
