Hi I have installed my SSL and when you logon to the wifi network and browse to an https page the certificate shows no errors. However if you try to access the wifi network via its public address using https you get the follwoing error "SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)"
Please can you help in explaining what we may have done wrong. Because of this error we cannot receive an api back from google checkout.

We are unable to reproduce your issue.
We suspect you enter a https link in your Google Checkout setting "API callback URL". It should be a http link like http://internet_ip:5789/check_notify.php _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Google requires a https to be entered under the api callback.

It seems that we can enter a http link in the sandbox test.

No in the Google Checkout settings, when i enter just HTTP is puts ared box around it and asks for https as in the image above. |

No how do you change the Apache path? The error is per screenshot from google. Then google sends emails saying they cannot reach https: path |

Please try the below fix (for FirstSpot v6):
1) make sure you install the SSL cert correctly. You can enable SSL for FirstSpot login page (under Configuration Manager -> Authentication Server, select "Use 3rd party SSL certificates") and make sure there are no errors.
2) Download the below patch:
http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/download/patch/6010/google_checkout_patch.zip
unzip the zip file and copy apache.php to FirstSpot\cfgmgr directory (backup the original file first)
3) restart FirstSpot
4) test Google Checkout again

Thanks that seems to have sorted the https issue. Only now even though we are no longer getting the errors we were experiencing it still isn't updating the users account with the amoun tof time bought. Any ideas? |
