Post subject: Hardware spec

Hi,

What is the hardware specification to handle 1000 user?
Can FirstSpot Advace handle 600 to 700 concurrent user?

For your case, we suggest you partition the load into 2 FirstSpot machines. Note that different FirstSpot can share the same datasource ( see Scenario 2 at http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/topologies.html ).

For the machine configuration, our estimate is that a current machine (Quad Core CPU, 4G RAM) should be sufficient.

I would personally suggest a separate SQL server if these users are logging on and off many times during a day. The actual highest load is the Apache server but off-loading and using a SQL server works very well. With that combo, you probably wouldn't need 2 servers. If you did get a second server, then both of them could use the common SQL database.
