I am trying to get firstspot running for the first time.
I have the internet comming in DHCP to my NIC. And a wireless card installed in the same computer.
When I try to start firstspot from the /localhost I get an error.
"public network interface card is disconnected."
Any suggestions please? |

Can you post your config.ini file and ipconfig/all dump?
Note that we don't support using Wireless card for the Private Network Interface. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

I think I found my problem.
I thought this software would make my pc a hotspot without needing a wireless router to send out the wifi signal.
I was trying to just get the internet via the network card and broadcast with a pci wireless card... is that possible? |

FirstSpot's Private Network Interface (the card that connects to the hotspot side) must be a Ethernet card. You then connects the Ethernet card to a AP.
See http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/topologies.html for a typical FirstSpot topology. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
